On both of my Apple TV 4Ks (one first gen, one second gen), I’m having issues with a specific set of 4K MKV files, HEVC at a 19570kbps bitrate. When the new video player is enabled, the video plays in very slow motion - smooth, not choppy, but very slow - while the audio plays perfectly normal so it runs way ahead of the video. Skipping ahead/rewinding does not fix the video, and the audio plays from where it should be based on the timecode. If I turn off the new player and use the old player, the video and audio are both completely fine. Playing on PC using the Windows app also fine. Other 4K video files play normally using the new player, including some MKV HEVC files that have a higher bitrate. I’m a bit stumped! Any ideas?
Direct play is enabled, and quality is set to maximum for both local & remote files. The files are being served locally.
