The system was running flawlessly then all of a sudden it came to a screeching halt. I’m streaming locally over wifi with my server on a pc. That’s hard wired to a router which is connected to an ap. I connect to the ap via iphone or ipads. The issue is now it cannot play original quality - insanely long times times (some times does not load at all) and then of course if it does play, playback is horribly choppy. So i thought maybe it’s the computer, loaded plex server onto another system, same issue. So in troubleshooting I disconnected from the ap and connected to the routers wifi - same issue. Speed tests seem fine (using an app to measure the wifi speed not the internet speed). So unless both routers wifi’s went at the same time and it’s not being picked up by the app, then it must be some other issue. I’ve looked at the transcode settings and all seems normal. This should also be independent of any internet issues because plex does not use the internet to stream when played locally correct?
Now this may be more of a network question but I’m just curious if anybody else has run into this and if so did they resolve it. I’m at a total loss.
