Hi everyone, new user first post here. I’m having problems getting a quality stream from my server when outside the network. The stream rarely gets above .7Mbps. When set to automatic it will switch from .3 to .7. I can manually set it to something higher, but anything above .7 just takes forever to buffer. Netflix and Hulu stream fine on both. Both the server location, and the streaming location test at 14Mbps down, 3Mbps up. Nothing else on either system using bandwidth. Optimized a video to test it and got the same results. If you would like to see logs just let me know witch ones I should post. Thanks
Not really a mystery, the connection to your server is using Plex Relay which is limited to 1Mbps. Even if you had Remote Access (port forwarding) working properly it wouldn’t do much better than 2.5Mbps due to your limited upload limit of 3Mbps.
Now if your saying the remote location has much better upload bandwidth then it will still be down to getting Remote Access working properly.
