Smart collection fails because of special character

Creating a smart collection using an album genre filter. After clicking save, it feels like it was successful but the collection never actually gets made. Think I narrowed the issue down to a special character ö in the collection name. I believe that’s the cause because i can create the collection using another name like “test1”. Then, when I go to change the smart collection name and try to put the “ö” back in, it gives me an error “collection could not be saved”. But this error only comes when trying to rename the already created smart collection. It does not come when creating the collection from scratch. Known bug?

Works like a charm on my system (I’ve just tested this using the hosted version of Plex Web and PMS 1.40.5 beta)

On what server version / client do you experience this behavior?
Does the behavior persist if you optimize your server’s database (Settings > [Server Name] > Manage > Troubleshooting > Optimize Database) or restart the server (after finishing the database optimization)?
If that’s not helping – you might want to look into your server logs to see if there’s an issue with the server database itself (e.g. some corruption).

Same steps worked after the optimize database trick. Thank you. Was wrecking my brain.

It is good that there is a fix but I would argue that OP’s observation is a legit bug.
