So...how does this work?

I’m new to the “ask someone else policy” that is popular now. I was under the impression that a representative from the company would help if the community could’nt, I now realise the just silly of me to think.

I will now try to describe my problem again, I’m not that great with computors and apps so please be kind.

I have the plex app on my xbox and it worked great for a day. Now when I start the app on my xbox one it sais " an unexpected problem has occured, check that you are connected to your network" something like that.

I have tried all the troubleshooting guides available.

Plex works on my phone and on my computor.

I have tried to attach my log files but it then sais “is not allowed”

So…what to do what to do…

to attach logs you probably just need to zip it up or change the extension from .log to .txt

have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling it on your xbox?

And I have uninstalled and installed plex several times I´m afraid.

I’ve run into this as well. Two days ago I was using Plex from my Xbox One and everything was smooth. Yesterday it couldn’t find the Plex Server and hasn’t been able too since. I’ve uninstalled/reinstalled the Xbox app, uninstalled/reinstalled the Plex server, cleared all devices from Plex and readded them using PIN access to auth the Xbox.

At this point I’ve become so frustrated I’ve cancelled my pass until this issue is worked out. When it works it’s fantastic but the troubleshooting experience was a bit lacking.

Edit: And just like that it’s working again. Having done nothing other than launch the app, I’m baffled.

I didn’t see anything telling in the logs except where the server lost connecting with it.

If possible can anyone still having the issue try using a cable instead of wifi ( if you are using wif that is ) I only ask because a friend mentioned that the XBOne’s wifi can be flaky but i don’t own one so can’t say that’s the cause ( I don’t want to seem like I am passing the buck - just curious )

This morning when I started the app it worked without me doing anything…we´ll see if I´ll be back on the forum again but for the moment I have no problems.

And I don´t use wifi on the xbox but sometimes on my plex server so that can be the connection problem.

Same thing happened to me by the way. All of a sudden last night, when I get home and fired up the Xbone, it started working.
