This MIGHT been asked about before… Just remove this topic then. What about signing into PLEX web with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or other social networks?
Ummmm Why?
Please no… don’t let Plex become part of a social network.
Way too much “social Media” crap out there right now, anyway. Let’s not try to get Plex involved in this any more than they are already…
OK, nobody likes that idea. I meant just for signing in to the “web”-manager So you don’t need to have to use separate credentials. Like signing up or “connect” your account to Facebook. I don’t see what’s wrong with that?
If your Facebook account gets hacked, your Plex account is hacked. I avoid using the same login creds in multiple places as much as possible.

You got a point… But at the same time there is functions that makes it less likely to get “hacked” such as two factory verification and using a more “secure” email service… i.e. Protonmail. Any binary application can be hacked… Even Plex. Even Facebook. I think it’s each ones responsibility to stay as safe as possible. I don’t like the idea to enforce Facebook integration, just having it as a secondary option.
Early 2021 clean-up: option implemented (sign in with Google, Facebook, Apple – or regular Plex account credentials)
