Solved but whats the workaround!? (Synology DLNA turned off to enable hibernate)

Hi All,

I’ ve solved my problem but what/is there a workaround?

Brand new Synology DS218+ with Plex Server version 4.30.2 installed and a few movies

Watched via an LG TV WebOS 2.2.0 & Plex for LG player version 4.29.6 installed

If DLNA is check marked on the server, the NAS never goes into hibernate, if unchecked it does…

Is there a workaround for this?

cheers

If you are using the Plex app on the TV why do you need DLNA? Are you using some other DLNA app on the TV or other device?

Thanks for the reply, sorry I should have elaborated more.

90% of the time the living room LG TV is used to stream content., however we do have a TV upstairs that does not have Plex player.

My main enquiry is rgearidng the DLNA if it needs to be used surley you shouldnt have to turn the setting on /off in the Plex server, I wondered is their a patch but I guess Im up to date and there is not.
