I was trying to get RasPlex up and running on my new Pi last night and it would freeze at the splash screen and then go black.
I tried a different TV, different USB power cable, different SD cards and booting with and without the network cable installed. Nothing worked.
Tonight after a few more attempts I realized I wasn’t right clicking on the drive in Windows Explorer and selecting Eject before taking the SD card out of the card reader. Once I did that RasPlex booted and now I’m watching the Walking Dead finale!
Also, thanks to whomever was helping me on Facebook last night when I was having issues getting RasPlex to boot.
It also seems to be picky w/ power supply. I used to use my macbook's usb port to power it up, but after plugging a wifi adapter on the usb port of the Pi, it would not boot anymore (would show the initial splash screen, then black screen, then freeze).
