Empty Collections remaining in libraries

I just downloaded the new Beta to test out the changes made to collections, and have encountered an odd bug. If I create a new collection and add a movie to it, then remove the movie from the collection, the empty collection remains visible in my library with no way to remove it. I now have a number of these cluttering up my movie library due to automatic collection tags that I didn’t know were there, or typos while setting up new ones.

Disabling Collections for that library will hide them, obviously, but that is the only way I have found to get the empty collections out of my library, and that means sacrificing legitimate collections that I might want to show as well. I anyone else encountering this?

A very poor design until this is fixed.

I don’t normally have “Allow media deletion” enabled, and I’m not about to change that. This needs to be re-thought.

I presented one idea for how to do this in the thread linked above. Here’s another:
When a user removes all (or the last) items from a Collection, a popup gives them the chance to remove or retain the empty collection. The popup can explain the consequences, as mentioned in the HowTo.
