Server Version#:1.18.7.x
Player Version#: 1.6.2x and 1.6.3x
I’ve just updated the server to v1.18.7 from a slightly older version when prompted while about to play a movie.
As soon as I’d done that and tried to play any movie, all I get is sound and a green screen instead of a moving image.
Tried updating the player on Mac Mojave to latest version too - updated from 1.6.2 to 1.6.3.
No difference.
The same movies play ok on my Android phone.

How can I fix it?
PS. Tried a restart of my iMac, and all seems to be ok again. But a worrying experience.
PPS. Just remembered that a brief popup message said something about Installing files… after I had upgraded the server, and then restarted the Plex Player on Mac.
Maybe that installed something from the server to the iMac computer - perhaps by way of an update to media decoding files?
And I found that VLC player also showed a green screen when trying to play an .mp4 just after I’d updated the server and restarted the Plex player on iMac - whether from direct access to the file on the server, or from a different .mp4 movie on the iMac hard disk itself.
Problems all apparently fixed by computer restart.
