Hmmm, it’s still not filling in metadata. Most peculiar. Does it work for others to get metadata for Ghost in the Shell (2017)?
This has never happened to me before, Plex always used to get metadata perfectly.

Maybe uninstalling and reinstalling Plex Media Server, along with deleting all libraries and creating them from scratch again will do the trick? You’d be surprised how many times this works with software. Even, say, a lawn mower can sometimes be fixed with a swift kick into the engine. Don’t ask me why.
Or do you have a better idea @ChuckPA? Did you figure out from the logs what the problem is?
No, i can’t find it nor can i recreate it here on anything I try.
Were I a conspiracist, I’d think the internet was conspiring against you! LOL (I know, it’s not funny)
Rename “Library” to “Library.old”
Start a fresh build. The executables are in /usr/lib/plexmediaserver and won’t change or haven’t been touched.
Are you running any other customizations to the Plex environment or user ?
If it has not been done, I would try and clear the cache for the agent you are trying to use. Perhaps also Plex Dance one of the objects that did not work previously after that. It does not hurt and will just take a minute or two so not much wasted if it does not contribute. https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/202967376-Clearing-Plugin-Channel-Agent-HTTP-Caches
Good news!
Uninstalling all Plex apps, deleting all libraries, and then reinstalling Plex fresh and creating new libraries worked!
So I guess the problem was a corrupt database or library. What do you think?
Thanks for all your advice and troubleshooting it with me.

And all is well again in Plex land…
How many plug-ins did you actually have installed? You know the default max-active is 6?
I didn’t have any additional plugins installed.
