I am having difficulty getting some media files to play. They play natively in VLC and in an Emby server on the same machine as the Plex server. Only the plex server seems to struggle. I’m scratching my head. Logs attached.

Still occurring, Emby server works fine on same laptop, same shares.
can you describe more in detail about what you’re seeing? “media not playing” is kind of broad. Does it pop up to play and only shows black screen? Does it give you an error message? Have you tested the same media on other devices? Try the Plex Desktop app.
If you have a malfunctioning Codecs library you can delete that whole folder in Plex and it will download fresh Codecs. That sometimes fixes it for people.
Hi, yes, it loads with the spinning circle as though it’s going to play, then doesn’t. No errors displayed and it just spins until I exit back home. Exhibits this behaviour across multiple devices (plexweb, roku, firetv, etc). I’ll try to remove the codecs folder, great suggestions, thanks!

I think I figured it out … when I disabled Passthrough (Audio) on my player, it worked.
There is no passthrough in the web app.
Correct, I did only check this with the FireStick.
