have installed plex on my Samsung TV, but I can’t display photos in full screen. The thumbnails load but as soon as I try to open one it shows me the error message “There was an error displaying this photo.”
Same here.
I have a Samsung QE50… with Synology server. Photos are still working fine on all other devices (iphone, ipad, laptop) and the photos still work as my screen saver on the TV. I’ve rebooted the TV and deleted and reloaded the Plex app, but still get the same message “An error occurred displaying the current photo”.
This all seems to have happened since I downloaded the latest update to version 1.29.1.6316 - is this a coincidence?
I’d be interested to find out what’s going on.
Same issue on two different but <1 year old model Samsung smart TVs. Everything works but the pictures never open and instantly shows same error every time “There was an error displaying this photo.”
Android, iPhone, and browser viewing works fine for pictures and everything else.
I also have three different Samsung TV’s not displaying photo’s. They work fine on everything else. This is a recent thing but not sure exactly when it started because I haven’t viewed pictures in while. I hope they figure this out and send a patch our way.
