PMS on Synology randomly shuts down. No changes on Synology server and no changes made in settings PMS. Problem appeared overnight. I’m unable to figure out the reason for this behavior. Logs attached.
I believe this behavior started the 28th of May. Before that no problem, no it shuts down several times a day.
Thanks @trumpy81, I’ve made the suggested changes.
I enabled debug logging.
I moved files to new folders and went through the steps to set permissions correct, just to be sure. Also scanned library. Unfortunately PMS still stops for no apparent reason.
WAN/LAN settings are necessary to work with my own router behind my ISP modem. This config hasn’t changed over the past 5 years.
New logs attached. Plex Media Server Logs_2021-07-07_10-59-32.zip (3.5 MB)
The issue with the file most likely has to do with the colon in the name, Pavement - 02 - Trigger CutWounded-Kite At :17.flac. Though it is the correct title, I deleted the colon from it.
My server time settings are correct, Dutch region settings. Don’t know why Plex reports it as an error.
See what happens now. If it crashes again, is there a way to contact Plex tech support? Never had issues with Plex before in many years, so no experience with that process
It looks like probably that one file with the colon was the culprit. Although it had been there for three years, a change in Synology or Plex caused the colon to keep making PMS close.
Anyway, with your help, PMS is now installed and configured all right. Thanks for that @trumpy81
