I have looked all over the internet for several days, and none of them seems to fix my problem.
I have a synology NAS, that I’m running my PMS from, and under “Remote Access”, it’s green and says “Full connection, from outside network” (Or something like that, my UI is on danish).
I have portforwarded my Nas ip and used the port 32400, as I’ve been told.
I have also tried disable firewall - both on router and NAS.
But the connection is still “Indirect” and my content keep buffering and downgrade to 320p.
My internet connection is 300/300 and the NAS is connected by cable.
I’m so frustrated by this, hopefully you guys can help me!
The server log is attached, I’m not sure if you need anything else.
A little update:
Called ISP and got a dynamic public ip. So now there is also a green checkmark at “Remote Access” menu.
But I still get the “indirect” connection when outside my network…
Your server appears to be online just fine.
How are you accessing it?
which app?
if web app, which web browser?
Which internet access technology is used for the client?
Are you using a public WiFi hotspot or a similar network provided by someone else (like Hotel or similar?)
If the Plex client runs on a computer, which anti virus/3rd party firewall software is used?
Are you using any type of VPN?
So here is some more details, based on the quesitons asked:
Tried on several users, both android and IOS - All “indirect” connection.
My internet is by cable (fiber 300/300).
I’ve tried on other home wifi’s and 4G, it’s all the same.
The plex client is on my Synology Nas server.
All firewalls and anti virus has been turned off and no third party has been added yet.
I new to this, and this is a brand new setup, and I’m new to this, but I everything should be set up correctly.
But no changes on the connection outside my network. It is VERY frustrating…
*** SOLVED ***
After I called the ISP and got a dynamic public ip and rebooted everything, it suddenly worked after an hour, but not before that.
Thanks!
