Some Episode descriptions do not show (mainly newest one)

Almost all of my tv shows (anime mainly) do not have descriptions when I add them. But they do have the correct preview and title from TVDB. I am considering reinstalling plex as this has been one of a plethora of dumb errors I have had in the past weeks…

Most of the time I manually add them but I don’t get why Plex is oblivious to them even if the episode aired months ago. It honestly makes me want to switch to another service!

You have to add file name to data-format or episode number format.

date-format 2021-03-28
episode-format S01E01

What do you mean by date-format? this is how I have mine named
Dr. Stone - 02x03 - Call from the Dead or Dr.Stone S02E04 Full Assault

How do you name yours?
