Some of movies will no no longer play via Plex. they wont play on the browser, either on the server or remotely. they also wont play on ios or appletv. These same files used to play a few days ago without issue. Nothing has changed since then. The files play with VLC and Kodi without issue.

What is the normal turnaround for these questions being answered? Not being able to watch my content is frustrating!
Check your disk space for the Temp transcode location. You need the size of the source file of the transcode plus 100MB free space. If you can free up some space, then do so. If not, you can specify a new location for this. Just make sure the location you specify is not a location scanned by your plex libraries.

that fixed it! youre my hero. Thank you. i was unaware of this detail. my server has only a 120gb SSD. all the files are stored on an external HDD
Ha! not a hero :)) I have seen that error a few times in the logs. The disk space check is a fairly recent addition.
