Hi all
First of all i will say i love Plex and i will use it for shure the next years or my whole life i think. ;)
I use Plex now for about a Month and i noticed not really big issues i couldnt handle, but this issue i cant find a solution and i really not want to rerip these tv shows. ^^
My Plex Server is a standalone Win. 8.1 Machine and i testet everything just local. Both, Server and the Playstations are wired connectet to the router. The most Content of my Library play flawlessly. everything looks great. But for some newer Shows it is stuttering from beginning on the playstations...when i look at the choosen bitrate i see about 943 kbps and when i change this to the next lower bitrate 720 kbps the video plays flawlessly but with a big quality difference. I should get it work with the 943 kbps. Maybe something wrong with detect the right bitrate?
I really not understand why and i hope somebody can help me to resolve the issue. I thought first maybe its something with the mkv and h264 codec, but i have a lot Movies in 1080p and 720p mkv and h264 codec and they work flawlessy.
For example:
I have a Tv show in 1080p BDRip h264 - one episode about 2gb and about 28 minutes - works flawlessly....choosen bitrate is 9.4 Mbps (best)
Another Tv show in 720p BDRip h264 - one Episode about 750mb and about 24 minutes - stuttering....choosen bitrate is 3.9 Mbps (best) and when i choose 3 Mbps the video plays flawlessly but i loose quality.
Another Tv show in 480p BDRip h264 - one Episode about 145mb and about 20 minutes - stuttering..choosen bitrate is 943 kbps (best) and when i choose 720 kbps the video plays flawlessly but i loose quality.
So now i think its not something with the codec, because all have the same and the big file with 1080p work flawlessly...I hope somebody out there had same issues before and can help me to fix that.
Ah and i testet the same videos on my samsung galaxy S5 and on this i had the option to select a bitrate above like 2 Mbps for the 480p...it played better, but the audio....how can i say that in english ^^ the audio line was faster than the video...desynced. ^^
Thanks for any help.
