I just noticed that some movies in my library are not detected; I copy the same film to another folder, and still undetectable.
Any way idea?
It’s almost certainly a naming issue. Plex indexes your movies to compare against online sources (in a Movies folder). If you have a badly named file, Plex may match it up to an incorrect movie (mismatch, fix this by picking the right movie), or think it is a duplicate of an existing movie (duplicate, fix this by choosing “split apart”).
There are also certain keywords that can be easy to use, but are against the rules. Things like “Part 2” at the end of a filename Plex thinks the file is split into multiple files, so your video might have been merged into another entry for “Part 1”. Refer to the naming guide for info on what specific text to avoid using if your file isn’t ACTUALLY split into multiple files.
Follow the guide that Plex provides for hints. If you want to know specifically what might be wrong here, post the filename and we can tell you why it’s being ignored or matching wrong.
