Some movies have changed to landscape posters

Server Version#: 1.22.0.4163

Hey, so I got a bit of an issue with posters. Just a premise, I have three main libraries: Feature Films, Short Films, TV Shows

It’s the Short Films library that has the issue.

So I have that library set as Movies type. Because of the very mix and match nature of short films, only a small number of them automatically match correctly (I have it set to Movies for the sake of the few that do still auto-match correctly, and also short films are still movies anyways), so for most I have to put everything manually (description, poster, year, etc…).

A small handful of my short films have taken it upon themselves to change the poster layout from portrait to landscape, specifically ones that did not auto-match. The portrait is still seen from the library view, but once you open up the movie’s page itself then that’s where you get the landscape poster.

Why is this? And how can I force them to change back to portrait? It must be a very simple thing that I’m missing here.

Any help on this is greatly appreciated!

Hey guys, just wondering if there’s anything on this issue yet? I’ve updated to the newest available server version today and the issue persists.

Being able to use regular vertical posters for unmatched content seems like something that should be doable, and actually was doable in the past since back in the early days of building my short film library the posters were fine for unmatched content.

If this is something that’s a new feature and isn’t actually a bug, than can we have a request put in to include an option in a future server update to change the orientation of posters per-item?

Thank you :hugs:
