Hi. I’ve created numerous music playlists today, but a few times, Plex has refused to save one. It seems sensitive to some words (creed, damned, cult for example). I try a nonsense title (“reed”) and it works. I try to edit that title to the sensible one (“Creed”) and it is unable to save. Anyone aware of any word blacklist or something? The log file has no errors at the times of the saves nor any looking like a playlist operation recently.
I have tried this on numerous browsers and apps/devices etc with the same results everywhere…
I’m not seeing the same issue. The version number you posted is not for the server. The current non-Plex Pass server version is 1.22.1.4275. I suspect 4.51.3 is the version for the Plex Web UI, in which case it isn’t the most current (4.53.0 is current). You might try updating to the latest and see if the problem still occurs.
Hi. Thanks for the rapid response. I now have Plex Web version 4.53.0. I can’t find the server version I’m afraid, but the update looks successful. The problem still occurs. It really does seem like certain words are blacklisted - damned, cult, cranberries and creed are ones that have failed. I have 30 or 40 other playlists that were fine.
I tried a search in the web UI on the problem words. The playlist names are band names, so they exist in the metadata. I got ‘No Results’ beneath my library unless I put ‘the’ in front. ie ‘Damned’ returned no results, ‘the damned’ did. There were relevant results for Plex Movies, podcasts etc. I got the expected local search results searching for several other band and playlist names. And I still can’t change the playlist name or add a new one, with or without ‘the’. It’s not a drastic problem, but it is odd.
I have used Edge on my Windows machine, Safari on my iPad and the browser on the server (Raspberry Pi). I checked some logs and saw database corruption messages so I’ve gone back to my last backup of the Pi image and all is well, except for all the work I’ve put in the past few days. I’m blaming (maybe) improper shutdown(s). Such is life! When restarts don’t work you trust your backups. Thanks again for the input. I’m learning a little
