Hard to tell how often this happens, at a guess once a month or so. I’ll be scrolling through my library and notice for some items the poster / cover art has changed from the one initially applied when the item was first added.
The items which are changed seem to be entirely random - they can be new films, old films, added recently, added years ago. This occurs in all libraries, film and TV.
I’ve posted about this twice already over the last 3 years, really hoping for third time lucky.
I guess first things first: how could I pinpoint WHEN this happens (which would hopefully highlight which process is causing it)?
That might be temporary note since they moved to Gracenote for movie posters maybe…? They might be tweaking those settings maybe but that does seem like an odd note as that setting definitely used to update movie libraries.
If you saw lots of your posters change recently it was likely due to that change to Gracenote: New Artwork Provider? - bunch of info there and a user script to reset back to TMDB default poster if you want.
