Sometimes my library start to fetch metadata for already fixed items

Hi, when I add a movie on my library (that is done by three folders) I run a new scan (just to fetch new metadata for the movie), sometimes the process start retrieving (checking ?) metadata for already old movies that I have in my library, this is time consuming.

Do you know how I can fix this strange thing ?

Settings - Server - Library - ‘Empty trash automatically after every scan’
This setting must be OFF if your media files are not on an internal hard disk in the plex server itself.

Hi OttoKerner, I’ve checked and that setting was enabled, I put it in OFF as per your suggestion (I put a screenshot).

It should be my case as my PMS is running on my iMac while the library are on a Qnap Nas.

I’ll see if this fix my issue, thanks again.
