Sometimes the downloads does not finish

There is a bug in the downloads. I could reproduce it like this:

  • First select “Download” for downloadable icons (for example the artist radio or your own playlist).
  • Select a time (e.g. 3 hours) and hit the confirm button
    Now it downloads but then doesn’t finish it. If you go to “Downloads” and select “Update…” sometimes it selects from a playlist a couple of songs but isn’t able to finish the downloads.

PMS 1.43.0.10467 on DSM7 (but it happened already before PMS 1.43.0 with the new Transcoder)
iOS 18.7.2

If the app is backgrounded without music playing the downloading will stop on iOS.

Aah. Has this to with the iOS power saving “feature” that freezes apps in the background which do not play any audio stream to save battery?

So I guess it is better to refresh the playlist update after playing some music.
