Song showing up as "Various Artists" even though ID3 is set

I use youtube-dl script to download a song, then I use both id3 and id3v2 CLI to do the following.

id3 -a “Taylor Swift” -t “American Girl (Acoustic Version)” “Taylor Swift - American Girl (Acoustic Ver.).mp3”
id3v2 -a “Taylor Swift” -t “American Girl (Acoustic Version)” “Taylor Swift - American Girl (Acoustic Ver.).mp3”

Still, this file shows up as “Various Artists”. How do I get Plex to respect the ID3 tags?
