Hi, I’ve had this issue for months now, hoping it will be resolved in an update but nothing has helped. I have set my scheduled tasks to between 2 and 5am. However, no matter what, it seems Sonic Analysis is always trying to run. I have reset my music library from scratch twice now, and when new albums are added, it completes the analysis as expected. However, it just keeps going, and going, and never stops, as per the screenshot above. The only fix I can find is turning off Sonic Analysis entirely, which I don’t want to do. I just want it to run when new music is added, and during the scheduled tasks period for maintenance. What am I doing wrong?
I am (sort of) experiencing this too. Mine doesn’t quite go forever, but it does take multiple days to rebuild the index, it isn’t actually doing sonic analysis.
The worst part is that it will restart building the indexes one album at a time any time I restart the container. For example, it has been running for 18 hours after installing the latest update and is still rebuilding indexes. When the server starts it scans my media and I can watch it queue up the rebuilding as it scans each album in my music library.
It’s as if the index doesn’t persist restarts properly. I do have the config directory setup as a bind volume to persist the config so I guess it’s just not stored in that directory
I have the same issue. I’m a long-time Plex user and have 5k plus shows. This is becoming a deal breaker for me and might start looking for another alternative to Plex. this needs to be fixed.
