I don’t think it’s only erroring from the beta, the previous stable release simply wasn’t logging any errors for me, so I wasn’t able to tell where Sonic Analysis was getting stuck. Now, in this beta, Sonic Analysis errors are being logged with more detail, though I still can’t figure out what any of the dozens of albums are that are failing, as for me they’re only giving an ID that as mentioned, errors when trying to view via XML API requests.
The beta itself fixed my issue with Sonic Analysis getting stuck, and just skips over the few dozen errors I encountered, and processes the rest of the library.
Overall I wish they would improve visibility of processes like this. The existing dashboard stuff is more focused on who is streaming what, but as my Plex is only used by one family I don’t care about that. If a stream is playing, I probably see it happen.
But how the metadata is being handled, and progress of creating thumbnails and so on – that is info I would like to see.
