Sonos + Remote Access

Server Version#: 1.32.7.7621

So, deep breath, am new to Plex, however, have tried unsuccessfully in the past to make it work for me.
So, i have a Sonos system and a Synology NAS DS412+ with latest DSM that is on the compatible list with Plex.
I have a GoFibre 1gb router (UK).

So, i created my library on the NAS which has over 54,000 music tracks and it’s been scanning and doing checks for 3 days now, but that’s another story.
So, my main reason for Plex is to listen to my music via Plex on the Sonos app.

I added Plex into the Sonos system., but, I couldn’t get Sonos to see the Plex library so i enabled the manually specify public port to 32400.
Initially this worked for a few hours then decided to simply endlessly disable itself.
I have to constantly refresh this to keep the remote access open, but, by the time i’ve tried to access my music via Sonos the remote access has closed again.

When browsing the Sonos app i constantly get - unable to browse music.

I am desperate for this to work as Sonos do not cater for large music libraries and i just want to be able to listen to my music via my Sonos system.

To be fair, the Plex app on my iPhone detects the music but i can’t play it due to the subscription requirement.

So, all i want to do is play my music stored on my NAS via the Sonos app.

I’ve got just about enough knowledge about NAS and networking to be dangerous, but, i would appreciate any help, if any.
I’m hoping someone can actually give me a few pointers to say what checks i can make in the NAS to confirm i have everything aligned.
My intention is to purchase the full pass once this is all sorted out so i can stream my music remotely when on holiday etc.

In answer to my own post.
My NAS crashed having been run for almost 4 days straight with Plex scanning my music library.

I rebooted and was happy to see that Plex was finally happy to have scanned the library and was now sitting idle. Huge relief for my NAS.

Anyway, i decided to try Sonos and was quite surprised that it was working flawlessly.
I kinda stress tested it by starting all my Sonos players (6 in total) and setting each one to shuffle all tracks, each one started virtually immediately and are still all playing 2 hours later.

I’ve now added one new album and set the scan mode on again, Plex found the new album within a few minutes and i guess is now scanning the rest of my library.
I’m guessing this scan will take approx 1 hour given the progress circle.

Next step is to add a new album and simply let Plex do a partial scan which i set in the settings.
I don’t want to schedule random scans, i know when i add music so will do it that way.

So, my thinking is that Plex does not like to be accessed by Sonos when it’s updating, so, i can live with that.
I can always add albums through the day and scan through the night.

Happy days
