Sony 43X800E Can no longer access my PLEX server

Running a Plex Server on a Terramaster F2-210 and the TV is a Sony 43X800E. Probably the bottom of the line setup, but it worked. It’s used every day and had no problems, then last night went to watch a pre-recorded show from the server and nothing. The TV would not connect to the server. I could connect and watch from other devices around the house (e.g. laptop, desktop, tablet). I tried streaming to the TV from one of those devices, they could “see” the TV but as soon as I tried to stream the playback stopped. Thinking I had a network error I checked everything out and found no problem. Netflix would stream OK, PLEX (other than connecting to my local server) worked OK, youtube etc. all good. Uninstalled Plex from the TV and reinstalled, same problem. Plugged a ROKU into the TV and streamed to it with no problem. Any suggestions as to what the problem may be?

That is the web app interface version, not the server. It is also an old one which indicates you are on a pretty old server version so I would consider updating server.

Thanks, yes it was an old version, I hadn’t updated anything as it had been working! Now updated, but with the same issue. Works fine everywhere except the Sony TV. Sony TV has no issues with Internet or LAN connections except for PLEX.

have you tried setting it to always allow insecure connections?
