Sony UBP-700 will not open Plex

Server Version#:4.146.0
Player Version#:
When I select Plex Media Server: Ken429 The following message jumps out “The Server is currently starting up. Please Wait. Startup may take a few minutes.” After a minute or so I get another message that says try again later.

I enabled DLNA on the server but that did not have any positive effect. The Plex app built into the Sony player was working on my “old” W10 system. I recently installed the Plex Server on a W11 system and cannot figure out what magic setting I need in Plex to get the Sony player to connect.

I use an Amazon Fire Stick to access the Plex Server and it works - no issues. I know the Fire Stick uses a more modern interface but…I would still like to use the Sony player once in a while to chug through all the steps to get to where I want to go!!

What do I need to change in the Plex Server DLNA(?) set up to get the Sony to connect? Thanks in advance.

I talked to a Sony CSR today and she said after 2 or 3 minutes of research that Sony made the decision to stop supporting Plex! Really strange since I could get it to work “one time” after playing with all the settings in Plex and the Sony Blu Ray Players. I’ve got two Sony Blu Ray players X700 4K player and a S3700. Both do the same thing. Work one time and then no go. You would think that Sony would remove the built in Plex App when they did a software update?! Also, I would think that someone on the forum would have shared this with me. OR…Sony is feeding me a line of BS. Believe it or not Sony suggested I go get a Amazon Fire Stick! Obviously, I figured that out a long time ago.
