Sorting movies in collections

I have quite a few movies in a collection, and the sort key is the same as the movie title. Unfortunately, they seem to appear randomly, and not in alphabetical order. In other collections they seem to sort by year. How/where to I set the sort key for a collection?

For a regular/classic collection:
:pencil2: > Advanced > Collection Order
Keep in mind alphabetical order will consider any Sort Title you have set for the particular items.

For a smart collection:

  1. ⋮ > Edit Filters
  2. Set the sort order of the filter and save it
