Sorting of artists across Plex platforms

I’ve used the ‘Sort Artist’ field to sort my library into a ‘Surname, Firstname’ format - after all, who would go looking for “Johann” when trying to find music by “Pachalbel”. However move to any other device: Android app or Samsung Smart-Hub and while the sorting still works, the alphabetic A - Z quick links are all tied to the ‘Artist’ field. Scrolling through the library has the alphabetic cursor madly dashing all over the place!

Any ideas as to how to solve this, or is it time for a fix and another update from Plex?

There’s been reports that the alphabet index is off in some of the clients.
That’s got nothing to do with sort names.
