Sound becomes "compressed"

Hi,
I just recently started to imagine that the sound on tv episodes appears “compressed” during scenes with explosions or shootings.
As far as I can tell, this has come recently.
Example, during Blindspot och The Blacklist, the dialog is easy to hear, but during gunfights the sound becomes “compressed” and it becomes harder to hear the dialog.
I haven’t made any changes in the setup with Rasplex but I get a feeling that this started after version 1.0.

Anyone else noticed the same thing?

Btw, the sound track is DD 5.1.

Known issue, see other posts and GitHub, will be fixed in next release.

There’s a scene in a recent iZombie episode where two of the guys are in a nightclub. Everyone is dancing; you can hear their shoes squeaking and all the dialogue but none of the music… quite entertaining
