I have Parks and Recreation. Folder name ‘Parks and Recreation (2009)’
All of my seasons show up fine. However, the set comes with ‘Specials’. I can’t get this to show up in plex. https://www.thetvdb.com/series/parks-and-recreation
Look for ‘Specials’, it’s right above Season 1.
I put these files, in folder ‘Specials’, and it will not show up.
I wasn’t sure what to name them exactly, but I did it like this:
S01E01 - The Spider
S01E02 - The Four Corners
S01E03 - Calling Leslie
S01E04 - Building a Home
(I skipped 5, it was a behind the scenes)
S01E06 - Tourists
S01E07 - Ron’s Journey
S01E08 - Ron at the Distillery
S01E09 - Andy at Stonehenge
Same issue with Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2013)
There are a few specials. One is Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Slingshot (2016) (there is also academy and double agent).
I can’t get these specials to show up either.
That’s worked for me in the past. This is another place where the app FileBot helps. You could probably have a file named
Parks and Recreation - S00E01
and FileBot would look it up and name the file appropriately. This is especially awesome when you’re not sure on the naming as you can experiment with FileBot to get them ready for Plex rather than experimenting with them in Plex’s view. This helps me avoid the dreaded “Plex Dance” I dummied up an episode and here’s what FileBot did:

FileBot is clever that way. All you need is SxxExx. So you can have them all in a folder Parks and Recreation (2009) and FB will get the series from the folder name.
