Arabic Translation after trans-coding to UTF-8. it comes spitted after trans-codding.
older version of PLEX when i convert Arabic translation to UTF-8 it was work.
I am sorry, but I really do not understand what you are trying to say. I suspect it is because both of us are non-native english speakers.
Also, can you please stop writing in different sizes of text, and using background on texts. It makes my head hurt :)
Can someone help me understand what meshalbs is saying? I would love to help out here.

Much appreciated meshalbs. Just to make it clear:
When you say that you are transcoding to UTF-8, do you mean that you are transcoding? Do you mean that you manually change the subtitle file with a text editor to use UTF-8 text encoding? Because "transcoding" and "changing text encoding to UTF-8" is not the same thing.

Perfect. Ok, so now we need to figure out if the transcoder is being used or not, and if it makes a difference compared to Direct Play.
1. If you play that same movie/episode in the web client, what happens then? With web client I mean the interface that can be accessed via your web browser. If you are sitting on the same machine as you have PMS installed on, you can access the web interface by visiting:
http://127.0.0.1:32400/web
2. If you play the same movie/episode on a computer using "Plex Home Theater" version 1.3.5.431 (which is the latest version for those without Plexpass membership), does the subtitles show up fine then?
in the web client = work fine. plex on samsung tv: 2.001 = splitted
same episode and translation.
Excellent. That means that PMS handles it fine, but the Samsung client does not. So I suggest you start a new thread in the Samsung subforum with this text:
Title:
Samsung client does not handle Arabic subtitles well
Text example for the post:
Hi everyone! I am having some issues with the Samsung client version 2.001. I manually change text encoding to UTF-8 to avoid having subtitles with ?????????? instead of the characters of the arabic alphabet. When I do that the letters show up, but they are not connected. Arabic words are connected much like some of you guys handwriting styles (attached are two images, one showing connected text, and one showing how it looks in 2.001). When I play the movie in the web client, the movie is transcoded and the subtitle is burnt in. And that looks like it should. So the PMS transcoder handles this fine.
Attach the two images I wrote about in the text suggestion above, to help Orca understand what the issue is. Good luck meshalbs!
