I have two movie libraries one for HDR movies and another for SDR movies. When i play a movie that is shared between the two libraries both libraries are showing the movie in the continue watching instead of treating both version as different. this is most obvious on the home screen where the both movies are shown side by side. is this a bug?
It’s not a bug. Movies are matched against a ID from IMDB or wherever. when you watch a movie GUID is marked as watched by your account. It doesn’t matter if it is the SD,HD, Special Edition,Directors Cut, in different libraries or if you delete the movie then add it back 10 years later the database still knows you watched it or watched it partially it at some point and will mark it as such. which means it will show up in continue watching
Meaning it marks Superman as partially watched, not the specific file of Superman you may have multiple copies/versions of in different locations
You could set your SD library to be excluded in the home screen hubs I suppose. ( in advanced settings of that library)
Split the items if they’re Merged (with a Blue 2) - then Fix Match on one of them and match it to ‘the other’ Movie Agent… whichever that is.
Basically you run out Agents after the second one, but you may be able to use Personal Media for a third - with some hand editing.
