When a song by with the same name shows up on two different albums, plex sometimes sees these as the same song.
For instance, if an artists releases an EP that they recorded themselves early in their career, then re-releases some of those songs once they can afford studio time and professional mastering, Plex will sometimes see them as the same song.
So, for instance, if I rate one 5 stars, they both show as rated 5 stars.
This becomes a problem if I want to sync my top rated music onto my phone. It picks which ever version of the song I want, not the one that I specifically want.
Even renaming the tracks doesn’t make plex recognize them as two different songs.
