I'm in Australia. I'm asing an ATV3. I am using the latest PMS. I've a mac running OS 10.7.5. I can sign in to Spotify via Plex media server. I can see the Spotify logo on ATV3 but when I click on it says "trailer is a available. Try again later". On the terminal where PlexConnect is running I get this message:
"ATVLogger: loadURL (override): http://trailers.apple.com/music/spotify
See the section "Plex Sections / Plugins / Channels" over at https://github.com/iBaa/PlexConnect/wiki/FAQ-and-known-issues
Thanks for your reply and linking me to the FAQ. Whilst I have you here. I read in the FAQ that not all the channels are working, which is fine and I'm assuming that Spotify is likely on that list. I thought it strange that I am able to use all the functions on the desktop client of Spotify but not through ATV3. I'm sure it's being worked on and I commend you guys on all the work you do (just bought the lifetime Plexpass to show my gratitude), but I was wondering if there is a work around out there? I might add that the Spotify channel works great in the iPhone app, although redundant as it may seem.

Thanks!
The sad thing is: PlexConnect is a "third party client". We - as in the developers - are not at all involved with PlexInc and are not going to get paid... But Elan will get a little happier, I guess. :-D

channels not supported yet. some work and some don't :(
You may be better bringing this up in:

One thread for channel issues is helping shape the troubleshooting of them, reporting it here will get it checked to see what version it is etc..
But... this is NOT a channel issue...
It's a XMLTemplate selection issue that should have been solved 2 or 3 days ago.
Also, it is a MUSIC issue, that is even less supported then plugins overall. In fact, it might be completely deactivated from the code - I don't know about the music plugins, though?

Ah, ok.
Damn, seems I will have to keep my eyes peeled for a fix. It's a shame as the music integration, esp. Spotify, was a big reason for me using and supporting Plex (read: buying a lifetime subscription to PlexPass). As it stands I think that Plex is an amazing media server and I'm not dissapointed that I have purchased PlexPass, I just hope the music plug-ins don't get left to the wayside.
Thanks for your feedback. It's great to see such an active community!
Cheers!
If you need music now, you should be able to still use V0.1 - it should not show the bug you fall over, and it would still support music. Does this work for you - for now?

I can access all my music stored on my computer through ATV3's homesharing option, that'll do for now, as the itunes Plex plug-in doesn't work for music, only movies.
So I don't think downgrading to PMS V0.1 is necessary.
That will suffice until there is a stable/workable Spotify plug-in.
