.SRT language file not auto added to videos

Server Version#: 1.40.4.8679
Player Version#:

HI, I’m having a problem with .srt files not auto adding to my videos.
i have several profiles inside my user, my Siblings.
my user, which is the owner of the server, plays the media (tv show / movie) automatically with the external .srt file (that locate right next to the video file and both share the exact same name) witch is awesome obviously
but when i switch to my other profiles on the user, the .srt file does not auto added, and needs to add manually each time,
i guessed was that it is a plex pass thingy, so i got the plex pass but i was wrong, the same problem all over again,

the problem is cross platforms (windows, streamers, mobiles) , i didn’t know were to open this topic, i hope its fine here,

i could upload video if you didn’t understood me

thank you!

You need to set the option to automatically select subtitles all the time from the account settings.

Go to the account settings for each account you want this on (using your account as an example, when logged into the server [easiest from a browser], click the “H” icon in the top right corner and then select “Account Settings”. On the account settings page, scroll down to the Settings section and then set the “Audio & Subtitles” section appropriately (would be like this with the language set to [looks like Hebrew based on another post I saw from you] what you want and the option I have in the drop down changed to “Always enabled” in your case).

The 2 options below the “auto-select subtitle mode” option are only relevant to searching for subtitles, so if you do not use that and always provide SRT subtitles, you can skip those. I believe it auto saves when you make a selection.

It sounds like you did that for your profile but not the other accounts. It is a per user setting.

Hey. Thanks for replying.
Actually I did. In the streaming app, in desktop.
The funny thing is that even when ‘subtitle mode’ is set to manualy in my profile it works great.
But on other profiles it doesn’t.
Before I came here to the forum I went on every setting there is.
It’s just a bug in the program.
