Srt subtitles inconsistencies on Chromecast with Google TV

The strange behaviour appeared after the .ass full support update, recently.
Everything that can Direct Play works great (pic1).
The stuff that needs transcoded sound (due to eac3 not being supported by Chromecast with GTV) can’t be styled (subtitle is always small) (pic2)

Bun subtitle: set to Automatic
Subtitle size: Huge

For now I can wath only movies that can Direct Play on my Chromecast with Google TV, the ones with audio transcoded have the smallest subtitle size, even if set to Huge. I also have an nvidia Shield that still works fine because can Direct Play most files, even that with eac3 audio.

I have the same issue on an original model Nvidia Shield TV.

If audio can be direct played (tested with Stereo AAC) subtitle styling works. If audio has to be transcoded (my TV can’t do E-AC3) the subtitles are stuck at Normal size.

It used to work, I have the subtitle size defaulted to Small, it only didn’t work for weird subtitles that had to be burned in.
