I’d like to see a standalone remote app put up for iOS and Android devices.



Personally all I’d ever use the plex app for is controlling my media center.

For that use I can’t justify spending $4.99.



Instead if you were to build a lightweight remote application as a standalone, I’d gladly pay $1-2.

Try Boxee remote, it works for Boxee plex and xbmc. It’s also free so doesn’t matter if you don’t like it. Let me know what you think

I think I may have the wrong app here, but I can’t get it to even recognize that I have plex running.

Plex for iOS/Android is one of those things that you don't see the immediate value of, but once you've used it for awhile, you can't ever imagine giving it up.

Well worth the $4.99 in my opinion. Buy one less pint at the bar and the app is paid for. ;)

It wasn’t Boxee but Boxee, xbmc and plex remote, sorry but a title that long I was bound to get wrong.
