Hey Plex team and community,
A lot of us spend time customizing posters, layouts, and artwork in our Plex libraries. One issue that keeps coming up is how the playback progress bar overlaps posters in different Plex clients. Depending on the player, the bar can cover up the bottom of the artwork, hiding logos, text, or key parts of the design.
It would be a huge improvement if Plex standardized the progress bar placement so it always appears underneath the poster artwork instead of on top of it.
Why this matters:

Preserves artwork integrity for those who customize posters.

Creates consistency across all Plex apps (TV, web, mobile, etc.).

Makes the UI cleaner and easier to read.

Respects the time and effort users put into their library design.
Possible approach:
- Have the bar sit just below the poster’s bounding box.
This is a small UI change but it would make a big difference to the experience, especially for those of us who love curating our libraries.
