When your viewing a friends shared library the ability to star series you like and then be able to filter the library for only those series.

There’s already a number of existing feature suggestions discussing such options (or aspects enabling you to do what you’re asking for).
e.g.
I suggest you vote in those threads in order to avoid distracting votes. In that case I’d like to close this thread as a duplicate.
This can already be done. At least in clients which support Advanced Filters.
If you save the filter as a smart collection, you can use this also in client types, which don’t support Advanced Filters.
