Current issues I have with the PS3 app:
*Sound quality is noticeably poor. Very obvious with dialogue and more complex scenes - bitrate issue?
*After 45-60 minutes, the stream will claim it's buffering every 5 seconds or so. Restarting the stream fixes the issue for another 45 minutes
*Streams are all in 720p - I understand this is being fixed in the next update
*UI is laggy - for a console that can push COD4 perfectly well, I'd expect it can render a few movie posters at tolerable fps
Current setup:
i7 920 for the host server
All connected via T100 ethernet
PS3 hooked up to 1080p TV via HDMI and analogue stereo speakers via the multiout connector on the PS3. Netflix sounds fine
Files are all c.8GB MKV h264 DTS5.1
