Still missing music album cover although images embedded in each file

Server Version#: 1.17.0.1841 (tried other versions, same problem if not worse)
Windows 10
MyCloud
All agents “local”
All songs have cover embedded

I have about 70K songs. Roughly 10% do not show the album covers. I tried the “dance”, refreshing, rescanning, rebuilding, reinstalling, etc. etc. etc.

Sometimes I can get the cover to show if I refresh metadata several times, up to 10 or 12 times! But most often, it does not work.

I also tired different PMS versions, all the same if not worse that version 1.17.0.1841.

To troubleshoot, I created a second music library where I only put a copy of some of the songs whose cover art is missing (about 50). After the scan, all covers showed OK…

What could be causing this? How can I fix it in my original library?

It’s sad that we pay for this program and simple things like this are not addressed. I went through a dozen FREE apps on my phone to play my music to see which one I liked best. They all had their ups and downs, but even the worst of them read embedded tags and covers and displayed them. This is insane.

I guess this will never be addressed by Plex.

Again, we have files with all of the correct information embedded in long established protocols that 99% of players and clients display without a hitch, yet the “premier” PAID solution to media cannot display the album covers. What a joke.
