Unfortunately about a month ago my computer and my movie drive were stolen. I was wondering if there was a way I can get a list of all the movies I had, or possibly my movies back not sure if Plex backs them up or not. I will hopefully be getting new equipment soon and I will have to redo my whole collection. I did not have a backup of my own. Please help! Thank you!

Is there a way to log into my old server and get a list? I know the files won’t work but the posters and stuff should still be there right?
I have already created a temporary server as well so I’m not sure if that has any effect on pulling up the old one.
Your old server exists nowhere else than on this computer that was stolen.
The chances if it getting online before the hard drive is wiped clean by the thieves are very slim.
if that’s not part of the stolen equipment… your server will be there as before and you can directly access the metadata. via Settings > Server > Help you can also create a download of your database which contains all the information of the previously available media.
this should work unless you have configured the library to immediately delete any item it can no longer find on your hard drive (which is not a default setting).
OK looks like there is no hope for me…
