Stop forcing stuff on us!

So how do you pause or fast forward << >> stop? That not Large in any book, on any screen… On my OLED it’s half that size and disappear after a set time along with the playing controls.

Do Movies have intros detection, never seen it. I would agree that is not required.

All I can say, glad I don’t use a Fire stick.

@SE56 it’s sorted now, I have manged to turn it off with the help of someone on these forums, which I am very grateful for.

It is a large button when you are using a projector, I would guess it’s about 6- inches high, and about 12 inches across, and if I’m watching a 4:3 video it’s even worse because the button is mainly in the back side bar area of the screen, so even more obvious…

But as I have said, I’m rid of it now…

@Dalmus I use a Epson projector, model EH-TW5650 Projector, the one with 60,000 to 1 contrast.
It is now discontinued… but I believe the is a current version of it on sale.
It is plenty bright enough.

@JohnAlex I agree with you, it feels like PLEX is losing it’s way a bit for users that just what a solid and easy way to manage and present their personal video library.

A recent “feature” of PLEX is being forced to have ratings and reviewer “opinions”, I hate it!

Each movie I have in my collection is there for a reason, it’s because to me, it’s a great movie, so I don’t want to be forced to see over peoples opinions about it.

Some people might like the feature, great… but allow those of us who don’t like it to simply turn it off.

If you set your Movie library advanced settings Ratings Source: IMDB it doesn’t display rotten tomatoes’ rotten reviews by weirdos on your nice screen. Those reviews were stored in the movie’s XML file and will not be scrubbed until you Refresh All Metadata for that library.

but i’m probably wrong

Ratings != Reviews

This is my #1 most hated feature of Plex right now and I couldn’t agree more! Everything in my personal library is just that, MY personal library! If I added it or have it in my library it’s because I enjoy the show or movie or someone in my family does. Ratings or reviews from other people are irrelevant and I get that it makes plex look more “mainstream” but I just don’t like it. The option to turn off all ratings and reviews should definitely be considered. +10000000 for this

Do drop over to Disable reviews and cast your vote to remove the reviews if you have not already.

I’m glad the OP got Skip Intros disabled.
