I am a new user of Plex. I want to use it to show photos on my TV in a family room from my computer in my study. I started by setting up a library with just one of my folders with 30 or so items. I put Plex on my phone and cast them to Chromecast on my TV. It worked first time, amazed my wife and me.
My problem is that now Plex has, apparently randomly, started indexing various other picture folders and displaying them on the Home page. How can I ensure that only the folders that I choose are processed by Plex?
I cannot see where to “Edit the photo library” and cannot see where there is an option to “add folders”. My album name has a little green padlock attached to it as does the two entries under “Locations”. I suspect somehow I have locked into a “read Only” mode. I am logged into my account.
Sorry about the delay, I am in Sydney.
I still couldn’t find the “+”. So I used the “>” from the w10 taskbar and now it works, I can see the edit screen. I think I started Plex last time from the W10 start menu but that doesn’t seem to work properly!!
What do I do now to stop Plex indexing all my photos and creating apparantly random albums containing random photos.
I cant see what you are asking me for.
It seems that I need to read some more about what Plex will do for photos and how actual folders relate to Plex libraries.
I have uninstalled Plex and will start again.
Thanks or your help.
