Stop series from appearing on deck

If I want to move a tv show from one library to another is there any way to stop it from re-appearing as recently added.

Kevin.

Unfortunately not.

Shame. I’ll just have to continue to confuse my users then.

Why must you move them to different libraries at all?
Even if you move them from one disk to another (let’s say you have an internal disk for ‘current’ releases and a slower NAS for archiving), they can continue to be in the same Plex library.
The ‘Added at’ and ‘Released’ dates provide enough means to sort the library, if you prefer to view your latest additions “on top”.

All you need to do is to follow a certain order when moving the files.
A Plex library can “watch” several file locations. There is no problem adding both the ‘current’ folder and the NAS location to the same library.

I have one library for currently running tv shows and another for shows that have ended or been cancelled.

I moved 6 shows from current to ended and all the current tv that I added this morning disappeared leaving only 3 of the moved shows as recently added.

OK. This cannot be done within Plex.

I moved 6 shows from current to ended and all the current tv that I added this morning disappeared leaving only 3 of the moved shows as recently added.

Different issue.
The ‘Recently Added’ for tv shows takes only the last 50 episodes into account. If you moved a whole show into a new library, then this will very likely oust all previously added shows.

Thanks Otto.

That makes sense.
