it is if you tell shield not to play the original and feed it a encoded version ?
trying to play a feed from a friends plex server now, has to go thorugh the same switches as every thing else
this has just stopped as well
so that rules out my server/ synology
only thing left is either my network(switch) is faulty can test by selecting a diffrent wifi AP which does not use the switch
or the client software
fair comment?
so how on earth do i trouble shoot the plex app / Shield then ?
cause at this point in time i have emby working perfectly fine with no problems on the same set up.(it runs on the same server when i start it )

Ok i am at a loss
will swap out the year-old switch and swop the nic on the server, but after that, there is nothing left to swop and 2 different devices are on different AP points eliminating the wifi
(so the main question is why is emby not seeing the same thing, it on the same server, its streaming from the same device ?

ok swapped the nic on the server to a different nic and replaced the switch with a known good one
and still doing it

have set to secured preferred and that address is my amp(it does not stream to or from this device it is on the network for updates to the amp)
why is it adding a amp with dlna , when dlna is turned off?

but all the tests i have been playing with are via the primary (windows 2016 server)
